Crafts Council of Telangana is organising a two-day Madhubani Painting Workshop on 2 and 3 September 2026, offering participants an opportunity to learn one of India’s most recognised folk art traditions. The workshop will be conducted by National Awardee Smt. Ambika Devi, who will guide participants through traditional Madhubani painting techniques and motifs.
Originating in the Mithila region of Bihar, Madhubani painting is known for its intricate patterns, symbolic imagery, and narrative compositions. The workshop is designed for beginners as well as those interested in exploring traditional Indian art practices.
