
JNAF Mumbai is organising a hands-on linocut printmaking workshop led by visual artist and designer Poorva Shingre. The beginner-friendly session takes inspiration from the prints of Krishna Reddy currently on view at JNAF and introduces participants to the fundamentals of linocut printmaking.
Event Overview
The workshop offers an opportunity to experiment with a new artistic medium while learning the process of designing, carving, and printing a linocut. Participants will create their own personalised hand-carved print and gain an understanding of basic printmaking techniques.
Poorva Shingre brings more than 12 years of experience in graphic design and illustration. Over the past five years, she has worked extensively with printmaking processes including linocut and screen printing.
What Participants Can Expect
During the workshop, participants can expect to:
- Learn the basics of linocut printmaking
- Create a personalised hand-carved linocut design
- Explore techniques inspired by Krishna Reddy’s printmaking practice
- Receive practical tips for continuing printmaking independently
