GAP Contemporary, formerly known as Gallery Art Positive, has opened The Still Life of Sentiments, a new exhibition curated by art advisor, curator and writer Priyanshi S. The exhibition was previewed on 10 September 2026 at the gallery’s Lado Sarai space in New Delhi and is open to visitors from 11 September to 10 October 2026. The presentation marks the first exhibition under the gallery’s new identity after more than two decades as Gallery Art Positive.
A Domestic Setting for Contemporary Art
Occupying approximately 5,000 square feet, the exhibition departs from the conventional white-cube gallery format. Instead, the space has been transformed into a sequence of domestic environments, including a living room, study and anti-room. Contemporary artworks are displayed alongside furniture, books, objects, greenery and lighting, encouraging visitors to consider how art functions within everyday spaces rather than as isolated objects.
The curatorial concept explores the relationship between art, design and contemporary living. By placing artworks within familiar settings, the exhibition examines how creative practices become part of daily life and personal environments.

Curator and Gallery Background
Curator Priyanshi S is an art advisor, writer and curator whose previous projects have included Taqiya Kalaam during Delhi Contemporary Art Week 2025 and the Amdavad Art-é-Summit 2022. She has also contributed writing to publications and books focused on contemporary art and South Asian art markets.
The gallery itself has a long-standing presence in Delhi’s contemporary art ecosystem. Founded by Anu Bajaj in 2005, Gallery Art Positive developed a programme that combined exhibitions, artist support initiatives, workshops and art advisory services. Over the years, the Lado Sarai venue became known for hosting exhibitions, discussions and the GAP Art Award.
From Gallery Art Positive to GAP Contemporary
The transition from Gallery Art Positive to GAP Contemporary comes during the gallery’s twentieth year. According to the gallery, the rebranding reflects an expansion of its scope while maintaining its commitment to contemporary art and artists.
The gallery intends to broaden its engagement with design, culture, wellness and contemporary living alongside its existing exhibition and advisory activities. The Still Life of Sentiments serves as the first public expression of this wider vision.
