Artists, students and art enthusiasts can explore the traditional practice of Gond painting at an upcoming workshop led by Gond artist Kailash Pradhan. Organised at The Kunj in New Delhi, the session offers participants an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of this Indigenous art form through a guided, hands-on experience.
With more than 15 years of experience, Kailash Pradhan will introduce participants to the process of creating a Gond painting, focusing on a peacock motif inspired by the monsoon season. The peacock is often associated with nature, abundance and seasonal change, making it a fitting subject for this workshop.
