LATITUDE 28 will present Overland, There’s Shorter Time to Dream, a group exhibition curated by Shristi Sainani, opening with a preview on 7 July 2026 in New Delhi. Bringing together sixteen artists from diverse geographical and cultural backgrounds, the exhibition examines migration beyond the idea of physical movement, exploring themes of memory, language, displacement, identity, belonging, and cultural inheritance. The exhibition will remain open until 25 July 2026.
Migration Beyond Borders
The exhibition considers migration as an ongoing human condition rather than a single journey between departure and arrival. Through painting, drawing, sculpture, installation, textiles and multidisciplinary practices, the participating artists reflect on the emotional and cultural experiences that accompany movement across borders.
The artworks explore questions of exile, resettlement, adaptation and remembrance while examining how individuals reconstruct ideas of home through lived experience. Rather than presenting migration only as a demographic phenomenon, the exhibition highlights its personal, social and historical dimensions.
Curatorial Perspective
Curator Shristi Sainani draws on her continuing research into diaspora, migration and cultural displacement to develop the exhibition. According to the curatorial note, the project emerged from research as well as personal engagement with migratory narratives, considering how language, landscapes, identities and memories transform through movement.
Sainani is an independent curator, researcher and writer whose work focuses on contemporary art from the Global South, museum practices and transnational cultural exchanges. Her curatorial approach places emphasis on dialogue between artistic practice and broader social questions.

LATITUDE 28 Continues Its Contemporary Art Programme
Established in 2010, LATITUDE 28 has developed a reputation for presenting contemporary art exhibitions that encourage critical engagement with artistic practice.
